10+YEARS CREATING

I've had a camera — or an editing timeline — in front of me for most of my life. I started making videos for fun when I was around 11 or 12, teaching myself Final Cut Pro and experimenting with whatever I could shoot and edit. What started as something I genuinely enjoyed as a kid slowly became something much bigger. By 16, I landed my first professional role as a Video Production Intern with the City of Jersey City, where I got my first real experience inside a production team and learned the fundamentals of lighting, storyboarding, editing, media management, and producing content for an actual audience.

That early experience eventually grew into FOCAL. Today, at 25, I serve as the Director of Photography behind FOCAL, bringing more than a decade of hands-on experience into every project I take on. Since starting FOCAL in 2018, I've shot and produced work across music, nightlife, live events, interviews, commercial content, social media, and photography. Over the years I've worked with artists, entertainers, brands, venues, and organizations — The Weeknd, AP Dhillon, Bohemia, Chelsea FC, Andrew Schulz, Marquee New York, Shoaib Akhtar, DYSTINCT, Raf-Saperra and Taha Shah Badussha among them — while producing more than 100 photo and video projects that have collectively reached hundreds of thousands of viewers.

What I love most about FOCAL is that no two projects have to look the same. One day can mean capturing the energy of a packed concert or nightclub; another can mean directing a music visual, shooting an artist on Polaroid, creating promotional content for a brand, or building a carefully lit interview from the ground up. I'm involved throughout the entire creative process — from developing the idea and planning the shoot to camera operation, lighting, composition, directing, editing, colour, sound, and final delivery. I've always been drawn to projects that give me room to experiment and create something specific to the person, artist, or story in front of my camera.

My background also extends beyond traditional production. I served as a Multimedia Editor for The Ticker at Baruch College, where I produced more than 20 original videos and helped significantly grow its YouTube audience, and later created multimedia work within a corporate environment at Broadridge Financial Solutions. Those experiences taught me how to approach storytelling from completely different perspectives — editorial, commercial, corporate, cultural, and social — while still maintaining a strong visual identity.

FOCAL is ultimately the result of something I started doing simply because I loved it. More than a decade later, that curiosity is still what drives me. I'm constantly experimenting with new cameras, techniques, technology, AI tools, formats, and ideas, but the goal remains the same: create images that feel intentional and make people feel something. Whether I'm documenting a moment exactly as it happens or building an entire visual world around an artist or brand, I want the final piece to have an identity of its own.
